Digital Twin

A digital twin is a virtual replica of a physical asset, machine, or system that mirrors its real-time performance and condition. In maintenance management, digital twins help technicians monitor equipment health, predict failures, and test “what-if” scenarios without touching the actual machine. By combining sensor data, IoT, and analytics, a digital twin shows how equipment is operating right now and how it might behave in the future. For technicians, this means fewer surprises, faster troubleshooting, and the ability to plan maintenance activities more accurately, reducing downtime and extending equipment life.
